I love these words, from Louis Armstrong’s famous song, What a Wonderful World.
“I hear babies cry,
I watch them grow,
They’ll learn much more,
Than I’ll ever know.
And I think to myself,
What a wonderful world.”
The psalmist wrote, “What a wildly wonderful world, God! You made it all, with wisdom at your side” (Psalm 104:24).
God has indeed created a wonderful world. But in order to fully enjoy the blessings of that world, we must walk with the One who made it. And that means choosing the right pathway every day.
Robert Frost wrote The Road Not Taken, in 1916. He spoke of the “road less taken.” For too many of us the road less taken is the road of sobriety. And until we find that road, we’ll never know what it is to live in a wonderful world.
Recovery Step: Get on the right road, the road of sobriety. Only then will you discover a wonderful world.
