The Author of recovery brings a message of hope for each of us.
Isaiah 11:1 reads, “A shoot will come up from the root of Jesse. From his roots a Branch will bear fruit.”
This prophetic message was spoken 700 years before the birth of Christ. The message was that from an unexpected source the Messiah would come, and he would bear great fruit.
Jesus continues to bear much fruit, often from unexpected branches. Billy Graham said it well: “Even if we may not always understand why God allows certain things to happen to us, we can know he is able to bring good out of evil, and triumph out of suffering.”
Let me be specific. Your recovery is the fruit of his branch. Nothing should give you greater encouragement than that.
Recovery Step: The seed has been planted. The root has taken hold. The shoot has emerged. The branch is in place. The fruit is now coming. Rejoice in knowing that your recovery is a part of that fruit.
