“Nobody knows the trouble I’ve seen.
Nobody knows my sorrow.
Nobody knows the trouble I’ve seen.
Glory, Hallelujah.”
– Louis Armstrong
We have all known trouble. Some of our troubles are self-afflicted (like looking at porn). Others are the product of living in a fallen world.
The Bible is clear. “The righteous person may have many troubles” (Psalm 34:19).
The key is not whether you will have troubles from time to time, but how you respond to them.
Warren Wiersbe said, “Those times when you feel like quitting can be times of great opportunity, for God uses your troubles to help you grow.”
Recovery Step: When you face troubles, you can respond in one of two ways. You can let them bring you down. Or you can let them bring you to fuller recovery.
