Sometimes, God employs a strange battle plan.
In Judges 7, we read about Gideon. God told him to take 300 Israelites into battle against 135,000 enemy soldiers. And it gets crazier. God said to bring as his weapons torches, trumpets, and clay pots.
Gideon would put the clay pots over the torches so the light couldn’t be seen at night while they surrounded the enemy camp. Then they blew their trumpets (loud noise), broke the pots (more loud noise), and let the torches now shine brightly out of the darkness. In the shock of the moment, the enemy awoke in confusion and they turned on themselves. And Gideon’s men won the battle.
Sometimes, God will tell you to do things that don’t make sense to you at first – go to meetings, see a therapist, work the 12 Steps. But in your obedience, God provides the miracle.
Recovery Step: In order to get where you have not been (recovery) you will need to do what you have not done.
