There is one thing worse than a bad joke. Two bad jokes. Is anything worse than two bad jokes? Yes – relapse. That is no laughing matter.
We often fall into one of two ditches. We take ourselves too seriously and we don’t take recovery seriously enough.
Recovery Step: Jesus said, “Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come” (Luke 17:1). Translation – enjoy a good laugh, but always remember to take sin, addiction, and relapse seriously.
