Underwater somersaulting is not yet an official Olympic sport. But that never stopped Marta Fernandez Perez from setting a world record in 2001, when she completed 28 backward somersaults underwater – on one breath.
How did Marta come to be the queen of underwater somersaults? I’m not sure, but I’m going to guess that she didn’t achieve this incredible feat the first time she hit the pool. Like all success stories, she probably failed before she succeeded.
Robert Kennedy said, “Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.”
Paul said it like this: “Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31).
Recovery Step: I’ve never known anyone who got recovery right the first time. I doubt you’ll be the first. And that’s okay. Go all in. Risk it all. Why? Because that is the only way you’ll get where you want to be.
