Do you remember this verse from the New Testament? “We all, with unveiled face, are being transformed into the image of God” (2 Corinthians 3:18).
That’s powerful! Did you catch the two words that tell us the requirement for being truly transformed by God?
Unveiled face.
We must remove the mask and be willing to be known. And that, my friend, is as scary as meatloaf at the local diner.
But it’s true. And necessary. I read this in my daily devotion the other day: “The greatest characteristic a Christian can exhibit is completely unveiled openness before God” (Oswald Chambers).
Recover Step: John Piper wrote, “There is always one person you must relate to who knows everything about you.” That’s true. But why don’t you start by taking your mask off before God?
