Life is like a vending machine.
A vending machine gives you what you want when you want it. No waiting. Lots of choices. None of them are healthy.
The better alternative, of course, is a well-cooked, nutritionally balanced meal.
Too often, we choose the vending machine. It’s much easier.
Recovery is done in a crock pot. No vending machine. No microwave. No quick fix. It takes time. It cannot be rushed. But the result is far better than a bag of chips with 5 billion calories.
Commit to the long game. Commit to recovery. Commit for life.
Recovery Step: Paul said, “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer” (Romans 12:12). If you are struggling today, focus on the middle part of that verse. Be patient in affliction.
