Your current sexual behavior is the predictable result of your childhood experiences.
Most likely, your early childhood was littered with isolation. Or trauma. Or abuse. Or all three. And that explains how you got here.
However, that does not excuse why you’re staying here.
Let me be clear. You owe no one an apology for your sexual addiction. Becoming an addict is very likely not something you chose. But what you’ve done with it is completely on you.
The Bible declares, “Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord” (Psalm 119:1).
Catch that word “walk.” Walking is a choice. I walk a minimum of 10,000 steps a day. I haven’t missed a day in over three years. How does this happen? It is a daily choice.
Likewise, sexual sobriety is a choice, because that is nothing more than walking the right path.
Recovery Step: You choose which path to walk. Choose wisely, because the path you choose today will determine your destiny tomorrow.
