In a group call with several pastor friends, one of them made a profound statement that has stuck with me: “God will never give you a life where he’s not needed.”
Rick Warren said it like this: “You never know God is all you need until God is all you have.”
And Jesus declared, “Apart from me you are able to do nothing” (John 15:5).
Here’s the point. If you’re like every other person I know, you sometimes wonder why God doesn’t just remove the struggles, erase the pain, and eliminate the temptations. I’m sure the full answer to that question is beyond any person’s comprehension. (God made us that way.)
But one thing is sure. God will never give you a life where he’s not needed.
Recovery Step: Boxing legend Manny Pacquiao said, “Even in my prime, I need God in my life because without God, we’re nothing.” That’s so true. Never walk away from your absolute reliance on God – in every hour, minute, and second of the day.
