Things change with time.
For example, did you know that the fifth largest city in the United States, 100 years ago, was Cleveland, Ohio? Today, Cleveland ranks as America’s 54th largest city. Cleveland is now smaller than Wichita, Aurora, Tulsa, Omaha, and Mesa.
Everything changes with time. With age, most of us get shorter and wider. Our hair turns gray, and then it turns loose.
I am grateful for this promise: “For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed” (Malachi 3:6).
In a world that is constantly changing, it is good to have an Anchor that isn’t going anywhere.
