Do you ever hit a wall in your recovery? There’s hope!
Michael Jordan said, “Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.”
When he hit the wall, the psalmist remained positive. “By my God I can leap over a wall” (Psalm 18:29).
When you hit the wall, I suggest you do three things.
- Measure the wall.
- Devise a plan to get past it.
- Stick to that plan.
No one ever lost the war with temptation because they hit the wall. They lost the war because they gave up.
Recovery Step: You will hit the wall. That is inevitable. But it’s not final. If you lose the war, it won’t because you hit the wall, but because you didn’t do anything about it.
