Admiral William McRaven wrote a bestselling book, Make Your Bed, in which he identified numerous implications of one positive action taken each morning.
Success coach Tim Ferris said, “If you win the morning, you win the day.”
And the psalmist prayed, “Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love” (Psalm 143:8).
Morning is everything. I suggest a morning routine that consists of the following:
- Spend five minutes in the Word.
- Spend five minutes in prayer.
- Spend five minutes reading recovery material.
Will any of this guarantee a successful day? No. But failure to capture the morning will pretty much guarantee failure.
Recovery Step: Make mornings count.
