In their natural habitat, trees are buffeted by winds that blow every which way. Trees respond to that wind resistance by growing stronger bark and deeper roots. Without adversity, trees atrophy.
People are a lot like trees. We grow through resistance.
Notice how God led his children.
“God did not lead them along the main road that runs through Philistine territory, even though that was the shortest route to the Promised Land” (Exodus 13:17).
Sometimes, the journey is easy. Other times, resistance is God’s playbook.
Are you facing resistance in your life? In your recovery? At work? Or at home? Praise God for that. This simply means God is at work.
