“As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received” (Ephesians 4:1).
What is a life that is worthy?
Albert Einstein answered, “Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.”
And Oliver Wendell Holmes said, “It’s enthusiasm for something that makes life worth living.”
Let’s assume they are both right. A worthwhile life is (a) lived for others, and (b) filled with enthusiasm. Are you living your life for others? Do you have a compelling life purpose that elicits enthusiasm? Until you can say yes to those questions, perhaps your life is not all that it could be.
Recovery Step: Do one thing today to bless another person. And do it with enthusiasm.
