May 21 has been a busy day in history.
1842 – Hernando de Sota discovered the Mississippi River.
1881 – Clara Barton founded the American Red Cross.
1927 – Charles Lindbergh made the first nonstop flight across the Atlantic.
1932 – Amelia Earhart flew solo across the Atlantic Ocean.
2017 – Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus shut down.
The lesson? A lot can happen in one day. The Bible says, “A day in your courts is better than a thousand outside.”
Today is May 21, the latest May 21. Make it your May 21. Do something special for yourself, someone in your life, and for your recovery.
Recovery Step: This can be a special day for you, your recovery, and those closest to you. This day is God’s gift to you. What you do with it will be your gift to God.
