In every life, there is a Jericho. You know what that is? It is that thing that would block you from becoming all that God wants you to be. Whether a besetting sin, a habit, or an addiction, our Jericho will block our way to the full blessing of God.
As long as we try to scale the walls and knock them down using our own resources, we will fail. We cannot win spiritual battles with weapons we have borrowed from the world’s arsenals. We must recognize how impossible it is to handle the situation on our own.
“The weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses” (2 Corinthians 10:4).
This may be a Jericho moment for you. Your walls have stood long enough. It is time that they come down. Prepare for battle. But do it God’s way.
