Your biggest sex organ is your brain. That is why nothing is more important to your recovery than what you do with your thought life.
The Bible says, “Serve him with a willing mind” (1 Chronicles 28:9).
Here are six ways to serve God with a willing mind:
- Read the Bible every day.
- Read recovery material every day.
- Memorize Scripture.
- Pay attention to the words you sing at church.
- Take notes on sermons.
- Practice meditation.
Vincent Van Gogh said, “I put my heart and my soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process.” It is never a good idea to lose your mind. I know from personal experience. I lose my mind every time I shop at Walmart.
Recovery Step: Love God with your mind. Serve him with your mind. Do recovery with your mind.
