I read about a bank robbery which resulted in a two-week trial for the prime suspect. While most observers were convinced of the man’s guilt, the jury foreman announced the verdict – “Not guilty.”
The judge then asked the defendant if he had any questions. The man replied, “Only one question, your honor. Does this mean I can keep the money?”
One way or another, the truth always comes out. The Bible warns, “Your sin will find you out” (Numbers 32:23).
The bank robber had stashed the cash. Here’s my question. What have you stashed? What is it that you are holding onto today? I suggest you bring it into the light. If you don’t, God will.
Recovery Step: Trash your stash.
